Changing the Product Key in Visual Studio Installer

By default, Visual Studio installer doesn't allow any change in the product key and you cannot edit it.

However changing the product key in Visual Studio installer is very simple. First you need to copy your installer files to your hard drive or any device that lets you apply changes because when you're working on these files from DVD drive or virtual drives, they don't let modifications by nature.

After doing this, go to Setup folder and open the setup.sdb file in a text editor like Notepad. The text content has [Product Key] section where you can replace the previous product key with your own and save your changes.

After this, if you run the setup, it uses your new product key for installation!
OR
Install the trial version.

Go to start-button - configuration - software - remove and select to remove VS2008.
When you choose this you get a screen, where you can remove/repaire/registrate your product.
Choose registration and type in your key.
That's all.

There you go, you have the full version of Visual Studio 2008 Professional Suite.

Microsoft has changed the trial edition starting from 2008 version. If you have trial version you can directly updgrade it using the full version key.

There also a familiar layout for content being copied or converted and a Progress bar below that. The Help menu was excellent for newbies, though advanced users might find the documentation a bit lacking. Easy enough for beginners to get their feet wet, yet filled with features that should appeal to those familiar with file conversion, Corel DVD Copy 6 is an excellent program for meeting video converting and copying needs.

CopyLater is also included - that lets users schedule uninterrupted batch conversion of videos when they are away from the PC or overnight and an "Intelligent Folder Monitoring" tool. Reset Vista and XP Admin Passwords

If you ever forget your computer's password this little program will reset it on restart. Small .iso file less than 5 MBS!! Put it on a cd or a usb drive and Enjoy it!!!

Simple Instructions to boot via CD:

This can be burned to CD using basically any burner program you like that support writing ISO-images.
The CD will boot with most BIOSes, see your manual on how to set it to boot from CD. Some will auto-boot when a CD is in the drive, some others will show a boot-menu when you press ESC or F10/F12 when it probes the disks, some may need to have the boot order adjusted in setup.

Simple Instructions to boot via USB:

1. Copy all files from this CD onto the USB drive.
It cannot be in a subdirectory on the drive.
You do not need delete files already on the drive.
2. Install the bootloader:
On the USB drive, there should now be a file "syslinux.exe".
Run this from a command line, like this:

j:\syslinux.exe -ma j:

replace j with some other letter if your USB drive is on another
drive letter than j:
If it says nothing, it did install the bootloader.

Tested CD and USB method with success!
